MONTHLY WRITERS' MIXERS

Writers' Mixers happen the first Saturday of each month, at 5PM. The events are free and do not require a reservation or RSVP. Light refreshments served. The Writers' Mixers are hosted at Cover to Cover Books by the Deadly Duo of Carolyn Rose and Mike Nettleton, local mystery authors and on-air personalities. There will be no mixers in August and September for the summer, and we'll resume again in October.

June 6 , 2009, 5PM

Our next writers' mixer is Saturday, June 6, 5:00-6:30 PM! Come meet and greet other Northwest writers, network, and have a good time! Jessica Morrell returns with tips on how to create antagonists with many dimensions who are worthy adversaries for your protagonists. Jessica's book Bullies, Bastards and Bitches will be available for sale at Cover to Cover Books.

July 11 , 2009, 5PM

Special note: our July mixer will be on the SECOND Saturday because of the 4th of July holiday.

July's topic is "Three Authors--One Book?" The authors of Like a Bird Wanders (Sharon Bernash Smith, Rosanne Croft, and Linda Reinhardt) explain how they developed their vision, overcame individual egos, got organized, sustained communication, and met their deadlines.

POETRY OPEN MICROPHONES

Every second Thursday after closing time, come on out to the Poetry Open Microphone, hosted by Chris Luna. Featured poets change each month, but there's always an open microphone for local poets. Come meet, greet, read and listen! Always all ages, always uncensored.

Poetry Open Microphone hosted by Chris Luna. Come and share your favorite works by yourself, friends, or favorite poets. This month we'll be featuring Seattle area poet Jeff Lair. Jeff will read from his two illustrated books, Tall Grass and Bucking and Braying at the Dark Edge. Laugh and cry, give death the finger. Don't miss this session!
